Strategic Planning and Transformation
You will support the CIO in shaping and executing ACRA’s strategic IT direction, including the development and refresh of the Digital Transformation Plan. This includes translating ACRA’s corporate goals into a coherent digital strategy, identifying opportunities to leverage technology for regulatory excellence, and driving the organisation’s transition from project-based delivery to a product-led model. You will be expected to think across the full horizon, from immediate operational needs to longer-term capability building and ensure that ACRA’s digital investments are purposeful, prioritised, and aligned to mission outcomes.
Programme Delivery and Oversight
You will oversee the delivery of ACRA’s digital programme, spanning product development, system modernisation, and service transformation initiatives including AI. This includes breaking down complex, broad problems into clear workstreams and roadmaps, orchestrating execution across multiple product and project teams, and maintaining visibility on delivery progress, risks, and outcomes. You will ensure that ACRA’s portfolio of digital initiatives including key products such as CLAIR, Bizfile, and UDAP 2.0 progresses in a structured, outcome-driven manner.
Product and Operations Leadership
You will provide programme-level oversight across ACRA’s product areas, supporting product teams in delivering continuous value to users and the business. This includes overseeing product operations ensuring that live products are performing, that feedback loops are in place, and that issues are resolved promptly. You will work with product owners and business owners to ensure that products remain anchored to business outcomes and that the organisation is deriving measurable value from its digital investments.
Stakeholder Management and Engagement
You will build and maintain trusted relationships with ACRA’s senior leadership, business divisions, and external partners including other Whole-of-Government stakeholders. You will represent ACRA’s digital interests in cross-agency forums, influence strategy through evidence-based recommendations, and ensure that ACRA’s transformation efforts are well understood and supported at all levels of the organisation. You will also be expected to resolve complex stakeholder conflicts and facilitate alignment across teams where priorities or perspectives diverge.
Workforce and Capability Development
You will play an active role in building ACRA’s digital capabilities for the long term. This includes mentoring current and future leaders within the programme, setting best practices for product and programme delivery, and supporting the organisation’s workforce transformation including the transition of existing staff into product roles and the development of apprenticeship and mentorship pathways. You will help establish a culture of continuous improvement, ownership, and outcome-driven delivery across the division.
