About the role
MezTal is looking for a Marketing Support Specialist to join our team and support a U.S.-based client in the healthcare and medical equipment industry.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role designed for someone who is organized, adaptable, and comfortable supporting a Marketing team with a variety of day-to-day requests. The Marketing Specialist will provide operational and administrative support across marketing initiatives, internal communications, events, and other ad hoc projects.
Rather than owning marketing strategy, this person will serve as a reliable extra set of hands for the Marketing team, helping ensure requests are completed accurately, priorities stay organized, and smaller projects do not become bottlenecks.
The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, comfortable working with different stakeholders, and able to determine when to execute independently, ask for clarification, or escalate a request.

Marketing & Ad Hoc Support
•
Handle a variety of day-to-day requests from the Marketing team, including proposals, presentations, region or territory maps, simple documents, spreadsheets, and other quick-turn deliverables.
•
Provide general administrative and production support across Marketing based on changing priorities and business needs.
•
Organize and maintain files, trackers, spreadsheets, and request logs to ensure assignments remain visible and are completed on time.
•
Support multiple small projects and requests simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
•
Assist with basic marketing materials and presentations using tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or Canva.
Internal Communications & Events
•
Support the execution and logistics of monthly town halls and other internal meetings.
•
Distribute approved internal communications and announcements.
•
Assist with coordination and logistics for meetings, trainings, and marketing-related events.
•
Ensure communications, materials, and other required deliverables are distributed accurately and on time.
Employee Suggestion Program
•
Support the administration of an employee suggestion program.
•
Log and organize employee submissions and route them to the appropriate stakeholder.
•
Track open items and follow up on their status.
•
Escalate pending or sensitive requests when appropriate.
Collaboration & Communication
•
Work closely with U.S.-based Marketing leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to understand priorities, deadlines, and expectations.
•
Provide proactive updates regarding progress, questions, delays, or potential roadblocks.
•
Ask appropriate clarifying questions when requests or expectations are unclear.
•
Recognize when a request can be handled independently and when sensitive, strategic, or ambiguous matters should be escalated.
•
Maintain reliable follow-through across multiple requests and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications
•
1+ years of US based companies experience in marketing support, marketing coordination, administrative support, communications, customer service, project coordination, or a related role.
•
Professional English proficiency, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with U.S.-based stakeholders.
•
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
•
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple requests with different deadlines.
•
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office, particularly tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook, or comparable productivity platforms.
•
Comfortable working with spreadsheets, trackers, presentations, documents, and other administrative or marketing materials.
•
Strong follow-through and ability to work independently once expectations are clear.
•
Good judgment regarding when to execute, ask questions, or escalate.
•
Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Guadalajara, Jalisco.
Preferred Qualifications
•
Previous experience supporting a Marketing, Communications, or customer-facing team.
•
Familiarity with Canva or similar tools for basic visual and document creation.
•
Experience supporting internal communications, town halls, trainings, webinars, or events.
•
Familiarity with project management or collaboration platforms such as Monday.com or similar tools.
•
Practical experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar platforms to improve productivity, research, organization, or day-to-day work.
•
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
