The Legal department has deep expertise across the core practice areas relevant to a global media and information company, including commercial agreements, privacy, intellectual property, employment, litigation, compliance, corporate governance, M&A, and media law. The team partners closely with business leaders across Dow Jones to provide practical, commercially focused advice that supports growth, manages risk, and enables sound decision-making.
Dow Jones is seeking a Legal Counsel based in New York City to focus on litigation and support a broad range of legal and commercial matters across our businesses and corporate functions, including our growing B2B business lines. This role will provide timely, practical, and solution-oriented legal advice on litigation (actual or threatened) of all sorts, including subpoenas, and day-to-day business issues, strategic initiatives, and risk management.
The successful candidate will be a trusted partner to internal stakeholders and will work closely with colleagues across Legal and the broader organization and with outside counsel. This is a hybrid role, with three (3) days per week required in our midtown Manhattan headquarters.
