About the role
We are looking for a transformational sales leader to accelerate our U.S. Managed Service Provider (MSP) business, expand strategic partner relationships, and build the next phase of growth.
Summary
The Vice President, MSP Sales will lead Hornetsecurity’s U.S. Managed Service Provider business, driving revenue growth through a high-performing sales organization and an extensive partner ecosystem. This executive will own strategy and execution across partner acquisition, partner development, sales execution, forecasting, and operational excellence.
This is a highly visible leadership role for a builder who thrives in scaling businesses, developing leaders, and creating repeatable go-to-market motions. The ideal candidate combines deep experience selling through the MSP channel with a hands-on leadership style, operational discipline, and the ability to inspire teams through periods of rapid growth.
Reporting to the SVP Global MSP Sales this individual will partner closely with Channel, Marketing, Product, Customer Success, Sales Operations, and international leadership to continue expanding Hornetsecurity’s presence across the U.S. market.
Key Responsibilities
Drive Business Growth
•
Own the U.S. MSP business, delivering aggressive revenue, bookings, and profitability targets.
•
Develop and execute a multi-year growth strategy focused on expanding existing MSP relationships while recruiting new strategic partners.
•
Build scalable go-to-market programs that accelerate partner productivity and customer acquisition.
•
Identify new market opportunities and adjust strategy based on competitive dynamics and customer demand.
Lead a High-Performing Sales Organization
•
Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 25 sales leaders and individual contributors, including Channel Directors, Distribution Managers, and Regional Account Executives.
•
Foster a culture of accountability, execution, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
•
Recruit, retain, and develop top sales talent while building leadership bench strength.
•
Establish clear performance expectations and metrics across the organization.
Expand the MSP Partner Ecosystem
•
Strengthen relationships across an ecosystem of more than 250 managed service providers, including direct ownership of key strategic partners.
•
Develop executive relationships with partner leadership teams to drive joint business planning and long-term growth.
•
Collaborate with Distribution and Channel teams to improve partner recruitment, onboarding, enablement, and retention.
•
Ensure partners have the resources, training, and support necessary to maximize success.
Operational Excellence
•
Build predictable forecasting processes and maintain rigorous pipeline management.
•
Establish operational cadence through business reviews, performance dashboards, and KPI tracking.
•
Leverage data and analytics to identify opportunities, improve execution, and optimize resource allocation.
•
Partner closely with Sales Operations and Finance on planning, forecasting, and territory strategy.
Cross-Functional Leadership
•
Collaborate with Marketing to develop partner demand generation programs.
•
Partner with Product Management to communicate market feedback and influence product direction.
•
Work closely with Customer Success to improve partner experience, retention, and expansion opportunities.
•
Represent the voice of the U.S. MSP business with executive leadership.
Qualifications
Required Experience
•
12+ years of enterprise technology or cybersecurity sales leadership experience.
•
5+ years leading Managed Service Provider (MSP) or channel sales organizations.
•
Demonstrated success growing recurring revenue through indirect sales models.
•
Experience leading managers and geographically distributed sales organizations.
•
Proven ability to build, scale, and transform high-growth businesses.
•
Strong executive presence with experience influencing internal and external stakeholders.
•
Consistent track record of exceeding revenue targets.
Preferred Experience
•
Cybersecurity, SaaS, cloud security, email security, data protection, or Microsoft ecosystem experience.
•
Experience working with Microsoft-focused MSPs and channel partners.
•
Background scaling businesses through periods of rapid growth and organizational change.
•
Experience integrating acquisitions or leading organizations within private equity-backed or high-growth technology companies.
