Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required at this level include knowledge of court processes and procedures; communication in both oral and written form; and rules and laws regarding confidentiality.
Abilities required at this level include ability to write legal documents; analyze evidence and information; present findings in a clear and concise manner either in writing or in person.
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of a bachelor’s degree plus two (2) years of experience, or a combination of education and experience.
Positions at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will be provided with radio, camera, American Board Medicolegal Death Investigators (ABMDI) yearly membership fee, vehicle monthly lease and fuel, clothing, laptop, and cell phone contract. Must function in accordance with State Statue, agency policies, and ABMDI.
Some agencies may require a degree in a specific area of study, such as forensic, etc.
Some agencies may require experience in a specific field of work.
