Team Leader – Automotive Manufacturing (1st Shift) Location: Sterling Heights, MI (Near Van Dyke & 18½ Mile Road)

Pay: $20.00 per hour
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Team Leader to join our automotive manufacturing team in Sterling Heights. This role is responsible for leading a team of production associates, ensuring quality standards are met, maintaining production schedules, and promoting a safe and productive work environment. The ideal candidate has prior manufacturing leadership experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead by example on the production floor.

Responsibilities

Lead, motivate, and support a team of production associates during the shift.
•
Ensure production goals and quality standards are consistently achieved.
•
Monitor workflow and assign tasks to maximize productivity.
•
Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and support.
•
Promote and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
•
Perform regular quality inspections and address production issues promptly.
•
Coordinate with supervisors and other departments to resolve production concerns.
•
Maintain accurate production and attendance records.
•
Assist with changeovers, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
•
Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications
•
Previous experience as a Team Leader, Lead, or Supervisor in a manufacturing environment preferred.
•
Automotive manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
•
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
•
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
•
Basic computer and documentation skills.
•
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds throughout the shift.
•
High school diploma or GED preferred.
