Your Data
Last updated October 03, 2026
This page says, in plain language, what Seekless does with your data. The Privacy Policy is the full legal version and the Cookie Policy covers browser storage.
What we collect
•
Your account: name, email address and sign-in details.
•
What you give us to work with: résumés you upload or paste, your career profile, the jobs you tailor for, and the applications, cover letters, answers and chats Seekless writes with you.
•
What you search for: search queries and the filters drawn from them, and your last few searches on your device.
•
How the site is used: pages visited, what you do on Seekless and what you search for; clicks only if you allow analytics cookies.
•
Billing: what Stripe tells us about your subscription. Card numbers never reach Seekless.
Who receives it
•
OpenRouter — Routes every request to an outside AI model to the provider that serves it. Receives: The résumé, career-profile, application and chat content you ask Seekless to process, and your search queries.
•
Anthropic — AI models that write tailored résumés, cover letters, answers and chat replies, check them, and compare a résumé with job postings (the free résumé checker’s too). They run on Anthropic’s own platform or on a cloud host of its models that OpenRouter selects (for example Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud). Receives: The résumé, career-profile, job and chat content of the request.
•
Google — AI models that read uploaded résumés (the free résumé checker’s too), run fast checks, route chat messages and help understand searches. They run on Google’s own platforms (Google AI Studio or Google Cloud). Receives: The résumé, career-profile, job and chat content of the request, and search queries.
•
Cerebras — Hosts the AI model that turns a search into filters. Receives: Your search query only.
•
TypeSafe — AI model that ranks search results. Receives: Your search query and the job listings being ranked only.
•
Clerk — Sign-in and account security. Receives: Your name, email address and sign-in details.
•
DigitalOcean — Hosts Seekless’s servers, databases and logs. Receives: Everything Seekless stores.
•
Cloudflare — Delivers the site, protects it from abuse, and measures page loads (Web Analytics). Receives: Every request to the site, including your IP address, and page-load measurements from a script Cloudflare adds to each page, whatever your cookie choice.
•
PostHog — Product analytics. Receives: From your browser, as your cookie choice allows: pages visited and feature events, your email address once you sign in, and clicks only if you allow analytics cookies, with on-screen text masked. From Seekless’s server, whatever your cookie choice: events about what you do on Seekless (for example viewing, saving or applying for a job, uploading a résumé, buying Pro) and the searches you run, anonymously if you are signed out and with your account id if you are signed in. No session recordings.
•
Stripe — Payments and billing. Receives: Your billing details and email address. Card numbers go to Stripe, never to Seekless.
•
Reddit — Measures Seekless’s Reddit ads. Receives: A Pro purchase, if you arrived from a Reddit ad, sent from Seekless’s server whatever your cookie choice: the ad’s click identifier, a hashed form of your email address and of your account id, and the amount and currency. Nothing is sent for a purchase whose checkout was opened with Global Privacy Control on. If you allow analytics cookies and your browser does not send Global Privacy Control, also Reddit’s pixel: the pages you visit (a search page’s address includes the search), job views, engaged visits, sign-ups and free résumé check completions.
•
OpenAI (ChatGPT Ads) — Measures Seekless’s ChatGPT ads. Receives: If you allow analytics cookies and your browser does not send Global Privacy Control, OpenAI’s ads pixel: the pages you visit (a search page’s address includes the search), engaged visits and free résumé check completions.
Seekless sells nobody your data for money, and your résumé never goes to employers, recruiters or ad platforms. The “Recruiter” inside Seekless is an AI assistant, not a person.
AI processing
Seekless uses AI models to read, score and tailor your résumé, to write cover letters, answers and chat replies, and to understand searches. Seekless trains no AI models on your data.
Every request to an outside AI model goes through OpenRouter, and Seekless sends every one with OpenRouter’s setting that restricts it to providers whose terms bar them from training on the data. Any retention, for example for abuse monitoring, is governed by each provider’s own terms. Résumé features in your account run only after you give AI processing consent, which you can withdraw in Account settings; the free résumé checker asks you to agree to its notice instead. If you connect an AI assistant to Seekless yourself, it can read and act on your Seekless account within the permissions you grant it (for example your career profile, applications and saved jobs).
How long we keep it
Your résumés, career profile, tailored applications, cover letters and chats are kept while your account exists, so you can come back to them. The free résumé checker keeps nothing: the file is read in memory and discarded.
Deleting your data
Deleting your account in Account settings cancels any subscription and permanently deletes your résumés, career profile, tailored applications, chats, saved jobs and the rest of your profile data from Seekless’s database straight away, then deletes your sign-in account. Seekless keeps a record of the consents you gave, as an audit trail, and counts of AI usage with your account removed from them. Deletion does not reach copies that other services already hold: analytics events already sent to PostHog, reports already sent to ad platforms, logs until they expire after 30 days, encrypted database backups until they expire on their regular schedule, and Stripe’s billing records, which the law requires it to keep. To have your PostHog analytics deleted too, email [email protected]. You can export your data first, from the same page.
What’s logged
•
Product analytics (PostHog): in your browser, as your cookie choice allows, page views and feature events, your email address once you sign in, and clicks only if you allow analytics cookies, with the clicked text masked. From Seekless’s server, whatever your cookie choice: events about what you do on Seekless (for example viewing, saving or applying for a job, uploading a résumé, buying Pro) and the searches you run, anonymously if you are signed out and with your account id if you are signed in. Seekless does not record sessions or screens.
•
Logs and error monitoring: Seekless’s server logs record each request (the page address, which for a search includes the search; the time; your browser; and, in some logs, your IP address) and errors. Some AI steps also log short excerpts of what they generated or rejected, such as a résumé-summary sentence that was removed, which can quote your résumé. Seekless’s own error monitoring (Grafana Faro) runs in your browser whatever your cookie choice and reports errors and console warnings, sign-in attempts and their outcome, performance timings (including the addresses of what the page loads), page addresses and the site you came from; it keeps a random session id in your browser’s session storage. All of it is kept on Seekless’s own servers for 30 days.
•
AI usage: for each AI request, which feature made it and how many tokens it used, not what it said.
Do Not Sell or Share
Declining analytics cookies in the cookie banner (or resetting your choice on the Cookie Policy page) stops the advertising pixels and PostHog in your browser. It does not stop two things. First, if you arrived from an ad, Seekless remembers which ad it was, on your device and, once you sign in, with your account. Second, if you arrived from a Reddit ad, Seekless’s server reports your Pro purchase to Reddit.
Seekless acts on the Global Privacy Control signal, in each browser that sends it. With it on, the advertising pixels do not load, even if you allow cookies, and Seekless reports to no ad platform a purchase whose checkout was opened with Global Privacy Control on. Seekless still remembers which ad you came from, but does not send it with such a purchase. Global Privacy Control does not turn off PostHog in your browser; declining cookies does.
To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for your account, in every browser, email [email protected]: an opt-out needs no proof of identity, and we act on it within 15 business days.
