About the role
The Senior Data Analyst leads the analyses behind the business’s hardest questions and owns the health of the reporting estate. The role applies statistics and effect measurement to high-stakes decisions, sets the chapter’s analytical and visual standards, leads the rationalisation of the Power BI and Grafana estate, and mentors junior and intermediate analysts.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR?
Minimum
•
Able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and the ability to translate vague requests into definable value.

Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
•
6 or more years in data analysis or business analytics, with decisions changed by your work.
•
Expert SQL on large datasets.
•
Data modelling literacy: reads and navigates star schemas and gold models.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?
•
Design and run the analyses behind high-stakes decisions, using sound statistical method, driving business impact.
•
Lead the framing of ambiguous business problems into testable questions with senior stakeholders so that analysis effort lands where value is.
•
Set and maintain analytical and visual standards, covering methods, documentation, certified sources, semantic-model and lifecycle rules, so that quality does not depend on individuals.
•
Lead usage-based rationalisation across Power BI, Grafana, and the mapping of legacy SAP BW reports to gold replacements, so that the estate shrinks to what is used.
•
Mentor junior and intermediate analysts through review and pairing, and coach business users in guarded self-service, so that capability grows.
