Job Description
Job Posting Title: Sr. Data Architect - Data Engineering 3
Job Description: Sr. Databricks Architect will design and deliver enterprise-scale One Lake Fabric solutions for global clients. This role combines deep technical ownership of the Databricks platform with client-facing leadership driving data modernization, AI/ML enablement, and platform adoption across client engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Lead client discovery and executive-level solutioning, translating complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performance Databricks data architectures.
•
Own end-to-end data architecture strategy, developing blueprints, data models, integration patterns, and data flows aligned to business and technology objectives.
•
Drive cloud and data platform modernization and define migration strategies from legacy data warehouses, on-premises platforms, and traditional architectures to Databricks.
•
Establish enterprise data governance frameworks, defining standards for data quality, lineage, security, privacy, access control, and compliance using Unity Catalog and Databricks-native capabilities.
•
Define and institutionalize data architecture standards and best practices, ensuring consistency, scalability, interoperability, performance, and long-term maintainability across data platforms.
•
Evaluate emerging technologies and platform capabilities, recommending strategic tools and solutions that accelerate analytics, AI, data management, and modernization.
•
Drive platform performance, security, and regulatory compliance, optimizing data infrastructure while ensuring adherence to enterprise security policies, data privacy regulations, and governance requirements.
•
Serve as the senior technical advisor and client-facing authority, leading technical presentations, architecture reviews, solution workshops, and stakeholder discussions.
•
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, establishing Databricks best practices and acting as the senior escalation point for complex architecture, performance, and delivery challenges.
Required Qualifications:
•
Experience in Data engineering/ architecture, with hands-on experience with Databricks in production environments
•
Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud, Microsoft Fabric (One Lake), Power BI and Databricks’ native integrations
•
Proven track record of client-facing delivery — workshops, architecture reviews, executive presentations
•
Strong SQL and data modeling skills; experience with CI/CD for data pipelines (Databricks Asset Bundles, Repos)
•
Experience with data mesh/data product architectures on Databricks
•
