Job Description:
ASU, a leading innovator in Higher Education, is looking for a dynamic individual to join our team, providing support for the University’s Learning Experience (LX) Organization. The LX group is a crucial enterprise-focused organization that designs and supports ASU efforts to deliver innovative learning projects, at scale, across all modalities, and focused on ensuring greater inclusion and student success.
The Management Intern will provide exceptional service and support for Learning Experience at the Downtown Phoenix campus. This involves working closely with faculty and students to ensure that their teaching and learning experience exceeds expectations. Successful candidates will have demonstrative knowledge of technology trends and pedagogical practices in education, experience providing operational excellence, and a passion for customer service.

As part of ET, the Management Intern will contribute to the effective deployment and support of tools that enhance ASU’s learning environment.

Hourly Rate: $21.20
Essential Duties:
•
Support and maintain departmental classrooms and teaching studios.
•
Assist faculty with the successful delivery of their course content using the latest classroom technologies and learning strategies.
•
Develop and foster collaborative relationships with faculty to maximize their classroom experience.
•
Develop an expertise in and actively promote existing instructional offerings that support faculty and students.
•
Setup, install, and maintain computer hardware and multimedia equipment.
•
Develop and deliver faculty training, including self-help documents, online tutorials, and other multimedia materials, to assist faculty with the use of learning experience platforms.
•
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and video conferencing issues.
•
Maintain records, supplies, and inventory.
•
Lead, mentor, train, and evaluate the performance of student employees based on established procedures.
•
Leverage AI in routine tasks and contribute ideas for using AI to improve the unit’s efficiency and overall performance.
•
Take responsibility for fostering a positive culture, upholding organizational values, and championing engagement in all its forms.
•
Collaborate across teams and actively participate in ET/ASU events and programs.
NOTE:
This is an in-person, full-time position of 40 hours per week during a timeframe of Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm (may be subject to change and include occasional evenings and weekends).
Desired Qualifications:
•
Experience providing excellent service to a customer base, preferably in an educational setting.
•
Experience either working with educators and/or teaching/training others in a classroom setting.
•
In-depth experience implementing and working with a variety of classroom technologies.
•
Ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms to stakeholder groups: faculty, students, staff and administrators.
•
In-depth knowledge of Apple and Windows Operating Systems.
•
Experience working in a lead position, including supervision of others.
•
Experience working with internal groups and outside vendors to collaborate on projects, problem solve, or design solutions.
•
Experience managing cases in reporting systems such as Salesforce and ServiceNow.
•
Evidence of effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical users.
•
Demonstrated ability to model empathy, compassion, and emotional intelligence.
•
Experience in a values-driven organization with a strong commitment to inclusion and belonging.
•
Ability to cultivate a psychologically safe environment where all team members can thrive.
•
Capacity to inspire and drive meaningful change in individual, institutional, and corporate behaviors to support a more sustainable environment.
•

Working Environment:
•
Activities primarily take place in a standard, climate-controlled office environment and may involve extended periods of sitting, standing, or moving between office spaces.
•
This role involves regular use of a computer (desktop and/or laptop), including a keyboard and mouse.
•
Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
•
Frequent physical demands may include stooping, bending, crawling under/around objects, reaching, lifting and pushing objects of varying weights up to 50 pounds.
•
Regularly required to work in cramped and enclosed areas and exposure to variations in temperature when deploying equipment.
