About the company
At Flix, we offer a dynamic work environment with competitive pay, strong growth opportunities, and a tech-driven approach to making travel more accessible, sustainable, and affordable.
About the role
We’re looking for a Financial Controller to join our FP&A team. Depending on your experience, you’ll either grow into the role or take ownership from day one, supporting our financial planning and management reporting activities and, over time, taking on broader controlling responsibilities.
This is a full-time, individual contributor role based in our Sofia office.
If you’re passionate about financial planning, financial reporting, financial analysis, and working in a fast-paced international environment, we’d love to hear from you.
About the Role
Responsibilities
•
Be part of our HQ Controlling Department supporting the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team with a focus on financial planning and performance reporting activities.
•
Support preparation of monthly performance reporting and variance analysis for assigned business areas and functions.
•
Support preparation of monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and long-term plans for the Flix Group.
•
Analyze financial statements (P&L, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet) and financial KPIs of the Group.
•
Prepare and contribute to board/investor presentations
•
Collaborate closely with local finance teams, other finance functions and serve as the HQ Controlling counterpart to these
With growing experience, you will:
•
Independently coordinate and run the planning and reporting processes with the planning stakeholders.
•
Drive process automation and redesign in coordination with local finance managers, HQ Controlling team members, and C-Level.
•
Proactively identify process improvement opportunities and take ownership of their implementation
About You
•
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Controlling, or a related field.
•
3 to 6 years of experience in Controlling, Financial Planning, or Financial Analysis — ideally in a start-up, high-growth, or international environment.
•
Financial advisory (Big Four) experience combined with controlling/planning exposure or experience within the HQ controlling/accounting function of a multinational firm is a strong asset.
•
Able to work independently under pressure and be an effective team player.
•
Experience in management reporting, performance analysis, cost controlling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
•
Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting.
•
Good understanding of Finance systems, ERP solutions, and BI architectures, with the ability to analyze complex datasets and drive data-based decision-making.
•
Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a structured, detail-oriented, and agile way of working.
•
Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality management presentations and clearly communicate complex financial topics.
•
Excellent communication and organizational skills; proactive, reliable, and achievement-focused.
•
Fluent in English; any additional language is a plus.
We recognize that everyone carries a unique set of valuable skills and experiences. If you think you could have an impact even though you don’t meet 100% of the requirements, we still encourage you to apply. We want to hear from you!
