About the company
The Southwest Advanced Prototyping (SWAP) Hub is looking for an EDA Engineer. SWAP Hub is one of eight regional innovation hubs within the Department of Defense’s Microelectronics Commons program, led by Arizona State University. SWAP Hub brings together academic, industry, and government partners to accelerate microelectronics innovation and prototyping, bridging the gap between research and scalable manufacturing for national defense and commercial applications.
The EDA Engineer will drive the development, maintenance, and optimization of EDA tool flows to support project execution across the organization. The EDA engineer will collect and manage EDA tool requirements regularly, optimize the selection and deployment of EDA software packages, and maintain the IP library and its integration within relevant PDKs.
This position requires strong collaboration with Design Managers, Design Engineers, IT, and cross-hub teams to streamline the customer experience from onboarding through prototype delivery, including troubleshooting and process improvement. The engineer will also represent the SWAP Hub within the CHES (Cross-Hub Enablement Solutions) organization to ensure proper access controls and compliance related to EDA tools, while managing both cloud-based and on-premises solutions in partnership with IT.
