About the role
Daikin Applied is seeking a Sr. Development Engineer – Heat Exchangers. The Sr. Development Engineer will lead the development of primary systems and sub-systems of commercial HVAC equipment. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional team members to drive the release of innovative HVAC products. The candidate must have good communication skills and work well in a group setting, with minimal supervision. Location: Plymouth, MN (on-site)
Your Responsibilities:
•
Develop electro-mechanical products of significant complexity, supporting program quality, cost, and schedule
•
Develop test plans and perform testing of components, sub-systems, and total systems, supporting performance, reliability, and industry certification
•
Work cross-functionally with groups such as design, test, manufacturing, sales, and supply chain to ensure product design meets business needs
•
Drive the execution of the new product development phase-gate process, demonstrating appropriate design maturity and growth across various milestones
•
Drive innovation around tools and product design
•
Technical ownership of sub-system or system designs

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $90,400 - $151,800 + 10% bonus in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
