About the role
In partnership with Student Financial Services Meals on Wheels of Charlottesville/Albemarle is recruiting a Undergraduate Federal Work Study student to work as an Meals on Wheels Office Assistant. Meals on Wheels is located at 704 Rose Hill Drive Charlottesville Virginia 22903.
Develop team-building skills through working on special projects involving media coverage, outreach events, and community programs.
•
Improve professional verbal and written communication by assisting management with volunteer and client related tasks.
•
Assisting with daily operations including meal-packing hot and cold meals to be delivered to each client, as well as printing daily overview reports.
•
Updating and fulfilling all volunteer substitution requests.
•
Delivering unfulfilled routes.
•
Performing routine call-backs to check on welfare of clients.
•
Engaging in strategic plan team meetings.
•
Expand organizational and multi-tasking skill sets when completing routine administrative duties with the goal of ensuring all meals are delivered daily in a timely manner.
Candidates must be Federal Work Study recipients.
Scheduling: Meals On Wheels is open Monday-Friday 9 AM-1:00 PM. Located at 704 Rose Hill Drive Charlottesville Virginia 22903. Approximately 12-15 hours per week.
Compensation: This is a paid position offering $20.00 per hour
Hiring process
