Job Description
RRD has immediate openings for seasoned Maintenance Mechanics to work in our Durham, NC facility!
Must be able to work a 2,2,3 day shift, 6:45am - 7:00pm OR 6:45pm-7:00am
To successfully maintain a high-speed trading card packaging line featuring Longford friction card feeders, a Syntegon (formerly Doboy) DO-DIY horizontal flow wrapper, and a Shanklin shrink wrapper, a maintenance technician requires a specialized blend of mechanical, electrical, automation, and material-science skills. Because trading cards are highly sensitive to physical damage (bent corners, surface scratches) and environmental factors (static, excessive heat), the technician must possess distinct skills tailored to each piece of machinery.
Responsibilities

Maintain organization’s production equipment
•
Perform electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting and repairs in response to equipment errors or failures
•
Repairs and maintains, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment, such as die cutters, web and sheet-fed presses, inserting machines, folders, conveyor systems, bindery equipment etc. using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments

May repair or reproduce parts using welders or machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, surface grinders or other machine shop equipment

Additional Information
RRD’s current salary range for this role is $27.00 to $38.32 /hour. The salary range may be adjusted based on the applicable geographic location of the hired employee, and the range may change in the future. At RRD, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. Depending on the role, in addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
