Our drivers enjoy a great balance between work and life, as well as competitive compensation. As a professional truck driver with Smithfield Foods, you are assigned late model Freightliner tractors to pull 53’ reefer trailers and are dispatched to our plants, company distribution centers, and customer distribution centers. Safe driving, customer service, and effective decision making is the key to success in this position.

Schedule: This position operates on either a Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday schedule. Morning and Evening shifts available
•
Home daily schedule
•
Mileage: 1,800–2,000 miles per week
•
Loads: 10+ weekly, No touch freight-mixture of drop/hook and live load/unload
•
Hours: Shift up to 12hrs/day
•
Slip-seating: Required/Day Cabs
•
Shifts: Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday
•
Detention Pay: $25hr after 2 hours
•
Route: All routes operate within a 300-mile radius
