Job Description:
Accountabilities:
Incumbent may perform all, some, or similar range of duties as below:
• Remain at the Kettle for the full shift (until relieved), ensuring security of donations received.
• Respond to questions/queries from potential donors regarding SA ministries and programs.
• Present a positive image (well-groomed/dressed) and represent TSA well while on duty.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Must comply with all Salvation Army policies, procedures, and associated legislation.
• Treat the property of The Salvation Army with due care and caution.
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
•
This position provides for up to 20 hours a week as a temporary position to start work on November 13, 2026
•
Shifts may include days, afternoons, evenings, weekend shifts, Monday through Saturday.
•
Available to work in multiple locations in the Greater Moncton Area
•
Work environment is typically in retail stores
•
Standing for long periods will be required and some exposure to cold weather
•
Required to wear appropriate Salvation Army identification.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS:
•
Willingness to develop an understanding and support for the mission and purpose of The Salvation Army in Canada and its implications as related to position responsibilities.
•
Work in compliance with OH&S Act and Regulations and abide by The Salvation Army’s health and safety policies and procedures.
Education
•
Some high school coursework, Completion of high school is an asset.
•
Alternative combination of education and Experience may be considered.
Experience and Skilled Knowledge Requirements:
•
Up to one year of related experience or working in customer service
•
Money handling experience is an asset
•
Related experience is an asset
•
Willingness to develop an understanding and support for the mission and purpose of The Salvation Army in Canada and its implications as related to position responsibilities.
•
Work in compliance with OH&S Act and Regulations and abide by The Salvation Army’s health and safety policies and procedures.
•
Ability and willingness to complete applicable training.

Compensation:
The target hiring range for this position is $15.90 to $18.80 with a maximum of $21.69.
Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
