The Role
We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with deep expertise in PHP 8+ and Laravel. You will be a key architect in our shift toward a robust microservices and event-driven architecture. This isn’t just a “coding” role; we expect our seniors to be platform-aware, helping us move away from a “throw it over the wall” culture to one of true engineering ownership.
Key Responsibilities
•
Architecture & Development: Design and implement scalable microservices using PHP 8.4 and Laravel.
•
Infrastructure Ownership: Leverage AWS and Docker to deploy and manage services. We value engineers who can navigate container orchestration independently.
•
Data Integrity: Optimize MySQL for transactional reliability and utilize MongoDB or Redis for high-performance data needs.
•
Event-Driven Design: Build decoupled systems using asynchronous patterns (SQS/Event systems) to ensure marketplace resilience.
•
Testing & Quality: Implement TDD (Unit and Integration) to protect our core revenue streams.
