Overview
Microsoft Silicon, Cloud Hardware, and Infrastructure Engineering (SCHIE) is looking for a Technical Program Manager to lead Hardware Server Platform development and delivery for Azure’s cloud technologies and services. You will have the opportunity to build cross-team partnerships to transform new hardware concepts into the final, scalable solution to be introduced to Microsoft’s Cloud (‘Concept to Live’).

SCHIE delivers the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft’s 200+ online businesses including Office 365, Bing, Xbox Live, Teams, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure cloud services, including AI, compute, storage and networking.
Successful candidates will have a proven capability for technical program management, strong organizational skills and experience leading culture and change management. This role requires someone who has a strategic mindset with a deep understanding of hardware development and manufacturing processes, as well as a bias for action and ability to partner successfully with a wide group of stakeholders, from senior leaders to individual contributors and support staff.

Responsibilities
•
Drive requirements derived from product planning into hardware and software teams.
•
Partner with firmware development team to co-develop plans for firmware and development board bring-up.
•
Manage schedules, deliverables, and hardware planning.
•
Organize, present, and document technical and program reviews/status to Program team.
•
Develop quality engineering programs which re-define how validation is performed in a hardware plus software program with ongoing development.
•
Communicate with precision and clarity to drive alignment in both small and broad teams.
•
Effectively collaborate, build relationships, and influence cross-functional team members to achieve product perfection.

Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
