As a Backend Engineer, you will help build core parts of our Scala + Python data and agent infrastructure. You will contribute to backend services and data pipelines, work closely with senior engineers on system design, and help scale the systems that keep our data fresh, our APIs fast, and our customers’ workflows moving. This is a role for someone who has solid experience in production systems and wants to grow into more ownership on a small, senior team.
What You’ll Do
•
Help design and build of resilient backend services and APIs
•
Partner with senior engineers in designing systems and architectures for reliability and scale
•
Develop data pipelines from ingestion to enrichment to delivery
•
Build reliability and test coverage into the code itself – no separate QA layer
•
Improve performance, scalability, and observability across our stack
•
Work closely with data/ML to productize AI-powered agents end to end
•
Participate in design reviews, pairing, and shared engineering best practices
•
Optimize for real impact, customer outcomes, and fast iteration over theoretical perfection
•
Use next-gen AI tools to improve code quality and velocity
