Bachelor’s level education or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or related field.
5 years’ experience in transportation infrastructure construction projects. Within the 5 years, must have 4 years of experience with: Construction, design, and project control experience on heavy civil, urban, design/build, and P3 construction projects in excess of $250 million USD; Managing engineering activities related to a highway, bridge, road or runway construction project valued at $250 million USD; Administering and managing the budget, cost control, and scheduling activities for construction projects; Negotiating with suppliers; Using at least two (2) of the following tools: AutoCAD/3D, MicroStation, Bluebeam Revit, or Sketch Up, or Microsoft Project to perform 2D and 3D design and drafting on a large infrastructure project; Scheduling software such as P3, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project on a large highway, bridge, road or runway construction project; Conducting daily field inspections to monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed; and coordinating multidisciplinary construction teams which include design and construction engineers, superintendents, and inspector.
