The School of Life Sciences (SOLS) seeks a Manager, Facilities Operations to lead the day-to-day facilities operations supporting the School’s research, teaching, and administrative activities. This position manages facilities services across a complex portfolio of laboratories, classrooms, offices, controlled environments, cold rooms, specialized research spaces, and associated infrastructure.
The Manager supervises facilities staff and works closely with faculty, researchers, instructors, university facilities partners, contractors, and vendors to ensure facilities are safe, reliable, responsive, and aligned with the School’s academic and research priorities.
The Manager reports to and works in close partnership with the Associate Director for Facilities and Safety (AD-FS). The Manager provides operational expertise related to feasibility, cost, scheduling, infrastructure, risk, and implementation and exercises independent judgment in managing routine facilities operations. The position also collaborates closely with the Manager of Safety and other university partners.
