About the role
IMEG, formerly Hayner/Swanson, Inc., is hiring a Senior Civil Project Manager in Burlington, MA to provide overall leadership as the primary point of contact for civil projects of varying sizes and complexities. You will work with engineers and consultants to provide project direction, engineering solutions, and advice to clients.
In this leadership role, you will oversee a diverse, established, and long-standing portfolio of civil engineering projects, including roadway reconstruction programs, sewer rehabilitation, and stormwater improvement initiatives. You will partner with municipal public works and planning departments, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver resilient infrastructure and build strong client relationships.

What You’ll Do
•
Coordinate, oversee, and manage projects of varying size and complexity as the point of contact for project teams and clients.
•
Collaborate with business development staff and firm leaders during the initial stages of project opportunities.
•
Assist with design scopes of work, fee calculations, proposal generation, and contract reviews.
•
Create project schedules with milestone targets and deadlines.
•
Prepare monthly billings, submit financial information to Accounting, and update billing projections and estimated completion percentages.
•
Coordinate design staff and project scheduling throughout design and construction.
•
Ensure designs meet owner, client, firm, and code requirements, and that quality control and construction technical support are completed on time.
•
Prepare project status reports, lead progress meetings, and provide meeting documentation.
•
Lead project interviews and presentations.
•
Train, mentor, and motivate staff while building and maintaining client relationships.
•
Resolve client and construction concerns, manage change orders, and obtain appropriate approvals.

Bachelor of Science (BS) degree, or higher, in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a similar related field preferred
Experience

Minimum 10 years required, 12 years preferred, of project management, construction management, or related experience

State of Massachusetts Salary Range: $160,000–$190,000 per year

The range listed above represents the base pay IMEG reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position in the work location identified above at the time of posting. For positions available in multiple locations, the minimums and maximums may vary based on work location.
Individual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, abilities, and licensure and certifications.
Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
