Join our team at Goddard Enterprises Ltd - (GEL) and become a part of a continuously expanding and financially sound multinational conglomerate which has a robust presence across six diverse industries, spanning over 100 companies, strategically positioned in twenty-seven (27) countries in the Caribbean, Latin America and North America.
The Automotive Division within GEL comprises several entities. These companies serve as authorized dealerships for Nissan, Hyundai, GAC and Chery brands in Barbados, and exclusively for Nissan, GAC and Chery in Jamaica, St. Lucia, and St. Vincent. Additionally, the division boasts a diverse portfolio that also includes a Rental Brand, operating exclusively in Barbados.
Within this division, the respective companies offer a range of services, including authentic parts, mechanical and electrical workshops, body shops, tire services, and the manufacturing and retailing of vehicle batteries.
About the role
We are looking for a self-motivated, detailed oriented and results-driven Vehicle Sales Executive – Remote to become a part of the Automotive Division. This position reports directly to the Sales Manager.
Core Objective
The Vehicle Sales Executive – Remote is responsible for converting sales opportunities into completed vehicle sales, with a primary emphasis on nurturing and converting digitally sourced leads. This is a remote role requiring disciplined pipeline management, fast response times, and strong virtual selling skills, complemented by in-person customer engagement as needed to close deals.
Core Responsibilities
Digital Lead Nurturing (Primary Focus)
Respond to all digital leads within defined SLA timeframes across the following core channels:
•
Community Management of sales related enquiries on Brand social media pages — monitor and respond to sales related comments and direct messages on brand social channels, converting engaged prospects into qualified leads.
•
Digital lead form pool — work the pool of leads generated through forms submitted on brand digital channels (website, landing pages, campaigns), ensuring every lead is contacted and progressed.
•
Personal professional sales page (WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram or TikTok) — curate and maintain active professional sales exec page/profile to generate and nurture direct enquiries.
•
Create weekly personalized content and leverage as a selling tool to generate leads and drive sales.
•
Utilize available video equipment to created personalized communication (video walkarounds, virtual demos, tailored offers) to move digital leads through the funnel.
•
Own the full digital lead lifecycle across all channels: qualification, nurturing, follow-up cadence, and conversion.
•
Maintain consistent, structured follow-up sequences for leads not yet ready to purchase.
•
Use available CRM/other tools to track lead status, log interactions, and ensure no lead goes cold without a deliberate re-engagement plan.
•
Collaborate with marketing on lead quality feedback and campaign performance insights.
Core Sales Execution
•
Conduct virtual and in-person consultations to understand customer needs and recommend suitable vehicles.
•
Present vehicle features, financing options, and promotions clearly and accurately.
•
Prepare and present quotations, manage negotiations, and complete sales in line with the Pricing and Revenue Recognition policy.
•
Coordinate test drives, trade-in evaluations, and delivery logistics with relevant dealership teams.
•
Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Pre-Delivery Process Follow-Up
•
Track and follow up on all pre-delivery processes for each sale to ensure timely, delay-free delivery.
•
Monitor progress of bank financing applications and liaise with the customer and financial institution to resolve outstanding requirements.
•
Follow up on the insurance process to confirm cover is arranged and documentation is in place ahead of delivery.
•
Track licensing/registration progress and ensure all required documentation is submitted and completed.
•
Coordinate with the workshop/service team on Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) status and confirm completion before delivery.
•
Follow up on any other pre-delivery requirement (e.g. accessory fitment, trade-in settlement, documentation sign-off) relevant to the sale.
•
Proactively update customers on the status of each pre-delivery step to maintain a positive buying experience.
•
Escalate delays in any pre-delivery process to the relevant department/Sales Manager to avoid missed delivery timelines.
Pipeline & Reporting
•
Maintain an accurate, up-to-date sales always pipeline in the available platform.
•
Provide regular forecasts and activity reports to the Sales Manager.
•
Monitor personal conversion rates by lead source and adjust approach accordingly.
Customer Relationship Management
•
Build rapport with prospects through consistent, professional communication across phone, email, WhatsApp, and video channels.
•
Ensure a seamless handoff to after-sales / service teams’ post-purchase.
•
Follow up post-sale to support referrals and repeat business.
•
Follow up with lost sales to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
Requirements
•
Minimum 2–3 years of sales experience; automotive sales preferred, and digital sales experience would be an asset.
•
Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume lead pipeline with disciplined follow-up.
•
Comfortable working remotely with strong self-management and time discipline.
•
Proficient with CRM systems, video calling tools, and digital communication platforms.
•
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•
Valid driver’s license (required for test drives and in-person closes).
•
Results-driven, resilient, and comfortable with target-based performance.
Key Performance Indicators
•
Digital lead response time (SLA compliance).
•
Digital lead-to-sale conversion rate.
•
Monthly unit Sales vs. Target.
•
Pipeline hygiene / CRM data accuracy.
•
Pre-delivery process turnaround time (financing, insurance, licensing, PDI).
•
Customer satisfaction scores.
Working Arrangement
•
Remote-based role with periodic in-person requirements, as requested by your Manager for performance tracking meetings with the Sales Manager, test drives, deliveries, dealership visits, etc.
