Job Title: Emergency Medicine - Staff Specialist or Senior Medical Officer

Position Type: Permanent Full-Time and/or Permanent Part-Time
We are seeking dedicated Emergency Medicine Specialist to join a fast-paced emergency department in a renowned regional hospital. This facility is a 200+ bed hospital offering a comprehensive range of healthcare services, including acute and critical care, surgical services, intensive care, maternity, and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities:
•
Manage a diverse range of cases, including 25% paediatrics and a significant trauma caseload.
•
Provide expert clinical services within the Clinical Services Capability Framework and clinical privileges granted.
•
Assist satellite hospitals and rural sites through Telehealth and in-person support.
•
Contribute to innovative pre-hospital care models, including HITH and GEDI programs.
•
Engage in the development of a new Emergency Department.
•
Enjoy flexible and equitable rostering that balances service needs with academic priorities.
•
Potential involvement in the Regional Aeromedical Retrieval Service.
•
Participate in a successful postgraduate education and training program, including ACEM fellowship and diploma training.
•
Provide clinical supervision and training for junior medical staff, medical students, and other health professionals.
