About the role
To further drive the provision of smart solutions and ensure effective utilisation of the vast amount of data collected, analysed, processed, and delivered as data products, we are expanding our engineering team and seeking a talented Backend Software Engineer to join our core team.

Responsibilities
•
Design, build, and maintain robust backend services and APIs aligned with business needs.
•
Build and operate data pipelines that ingest public tender data from multiple sources and countries, with a focus on data quality, normalization, and monitoring.
•
Develop and maintain resilient data processing and extraction components, using AI where it adds value.
•
Manage, monitor, and optimize relational database operations for high-volume data workflows.
•
Work AI-first using agentic coding tools such as Claude Code while owning the quality and correctness of delivered software.
•
Build AI-powered capabilities and features into products and data processes.
•
Participate in code reviews, including reviews of AI-generated code, and help maintain high engineering standards.
•
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability.
•
Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and deliver lasting fixes.
•
Handle data securely and responsibly, including when working with AI tools.
•
Collaborate with Product, AI, and customer-facing teams to understand requirements and deliver data products to clients.

Required Qualifications
