Reporting to the Supervisor, Fleet and the Team Lead, the Heavy Duty Mechanic keeps a diverse fleet of construction equipment, commercial vehicles, and trailers safe, reliable, and compliant. You’ll inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair light, medium, and heavy-duty assets to legislative and company standards.
You’ll troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, complete repairs found during inspections and respond quickly to breakdowns to minimize downtime. The role also supports the maintenance, inspection, and repair of natural gas-powered vehicles and natural gas transport trailers. The ideal candidate is safety-minded, has strong technical skills, is committed to quality workmanship, and can work effectively in a fast-paced fleet environment.
