As part of the manufacturing team, you’ll use your skills, the Sonoco safety management system and other tools to improve safety performance and maintain environmental requirements as prescribed by local, state and federal requirements. The Process Operator Indirect will be responsible for implementation of all Safety, Health and Environmental programs for the facility. The ideal candidate will be part of the facility leadership team tasked with developing and implementing strategies to continually improve Safety, Health and Environmental performance.
What you will be doing:
•
Reporing out safety concerns at start up meeting and MS TEAMS meeting with leadership team
•
Recording & addressing safety concerns/actions in Intelex Database
•
coordinate and complete R3s monthly
•
perform storm water sampling for Dept of Ecology as needed
•
manage PPE/First Aid inventory
•
perform safety audits
•
order safety supplies
•
cross-functional collaboration with safety coordinator peers within the West-Midwest region and/or any other safety related tasks as assigned.
