About the role
We are looking for a Utility Operator who is responsible for operation of BCX utility equipment, Underflow Filter Press, material handling and associated equipment. Meeting the requirements outlined in standard operating procedures.
This is a great opportunity to perform daily safety inspections to comply with all facilities, regulatory, and safety training.
Reporting to the Crew Lead and working in a collaborative community in a challenging and exciting environment, within Hydroxide Line 2, you will:
Responsibilities
· Observe process variables using gauges and instruments and adjusts valves and controls to set and maintain specified operating ranges.
· Observe processing and auxiliary equipment to detect malfunctions then repairs or submits a request for repairs.
· Be responsible for entering production data into VDBs, log/batch sheets, databases and systems (SAP).
· Sample and test or submit requests for tests of process samples using LQM and makes required adjustments.
· Perform productivity maintenance tasks using basic hand tools.
· Collect and interpret information for making decisions from instruments and computers.
