About the role
The Infrastructure Tribe delivers the critical platforms and services that enable ING Australia to operate securely, reliably and in line with customer, regulatory and operational resilience expectations. The Cyber Recovery & Operational Resilience Platform is key to ensuring ING can recover critical business services from major technology outages, ransomware attacks and other disruptive cyber events.
Reporting to the Technology Lead – Private Cloud, you’ll lead the platform’s governance, recovery readiness and assurance activities, including disaster recovery testing, immutable backup assurance, clean-room recovery, recovery orchestration, recovery playbooks, service quality and continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with SRE, Technology Risk, Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, Global HUBs, IT Security and business stakeholders to deliver resilient and repeatable recovery outcomes.

What you’ll do …
•
Lead cyber recovery, disaster recovery and operational resilience outcomes across critical technology services.
•
Develop, maintain and govern recovery playbooks for Critical Business Services and supporting infrastructure platforms.
•
Coordinate recovery testing, clean-room recovery validation, recovery orchestration and cross-team assurance exercises.
•
Establish recovery SLAs, testing schedules, assurance metrics and executive reporting on recovery readiness.
•
Partner with Infrastructure, IT Security, SRE, Technology Risk, Platform Engineering and Global HUB teams to improve resilience outcomes.
•
Act as IT custodian for platform assets, ensuring technology risk, security, lifecycle and operational resilience obligations are evidenced and maintained.
•
Drive automation, self-service and continuous improvement to reduce manual recovery effort and improve engineering throughput.
What we’re looking for….
•
Demonstrated experience leading Cyber Recovery, Disaster Recovery, ITSCM, Operational Resilience or Technology Resilience functions in large enterprise environments.
•
Strong understanding of recovery testing, recovery orchestration, clean-room recovery, recovery playbooks and recovery assurance practices.
•
Experience coordinating large-scale recovery exercises across technology, security, engineering, risk and business teams.
•
Proven ability to manage end-to-end technology delivery and continuous improvement across infrastructure, resilience, cyber security or risk domains.
•
Strong understanding of IT risk management, operational resilience and compliance frameworks, including CPS230, ISO22301, ISO27001, NIST and Essential Eight.
•
Experience developing governance artefacts, executive reporting, recovery evidence and audit-ready assurance documentation.
•
Strong communication, analytical and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence senior business, technology and risk stakeholders.
•
Experience with cloud, hybrid infrastructure and enterprise technology environments would be highly regarded.
