What You’ll Do:
Rework Production Planning
● Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly rework schedules based on quality findings, customer returns, engineering changes, and containment activities.
● Prioritize rework orders according to customer demand, shipment requirements, and inventory recovery objectives.
● Coordinate rework activities with production departments to minimize impact on regular manufacturing schedules.
● Monitor rework throughput and adjust schedules to meet customer delivery commitments.
● Load Bills of Materials (BOMs) for reworks into NetSuite.
● Collaborate with Material Planning and Supply Chain teams to track and understand the status of rework parts.
● Prepare and present weekly “Clear to Build” status reports for GG1, HPC, and Field Service management to align priorities.
Material Control & Inventory Management
● Track and control all rework inventory, including physical counts, cycle counts, and
reconciliation.
● Maintain accurate inventory transactions within ERP/MRP systems.
● Monitor inventory aging and drive disposition of obsolete or excess rework inventory.
● Ensure segregation and traceability of rework materials in compliance with customer and quality requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
● Coordinate with Purchasing and Suppliers to obtain replacement materials required for rework.
● Support Engineering Change Management activities by identifying affected inventory.
● Collaborate with Logistics and Warehouse teams to ensure proper material movement and inventory visibility.
● Communicate rework status, shortages, and risks to management and affected departments.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
● Maintain dashboard visibility of rework status to highlight bottlenecks and drive resolution.
● Monitor and report key rework performance metrics.
● Generate daily and weekly reports on rework inventory, completion rates, and customer impact.
Continuous Improvement
● Lead initiatives to improve rework planning, material flow, and inventory control processes.
● Support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects aimed at reducing scrap and rework.
● Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and reduce material handling waste.
● Participate in PFMEA, corrective action, and quality improvement activities.
