About the role
This role is for economic impact analysts for state/regulatory pursuits (for example, CA Department of Cannabis Control Economic Impact Assessment RFP 26-001).
Responsibilities
What you’ll do:
•
Lead or support economic impact assessments for state agencies and regulators
•
Build transparent impact models (direct/indirect/induced; employment, output, tax, industry effects) with documented assumptions
•
Synthesize industry, labor, and administrative data; write policy-ready findings and recommendations
•
Present methods and results to agency sponsors and stakeholders
•
Contribute economic-impact content and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals (when permissioned)
Requirements
Required:
•
Hands-on economic impact assessment, I-O / REMI / IMPLAN (or equivalent) modeling, or state regulatory economic analysis delivery
•
Ability to produce reproducible methods, clear limitations, and policy-ready reports
•
Comfortable as a 1099 / project-based collaborator with travel as needed
