About the role
Clyde & Co seeks a highly motivated attorney with 5+ years of experience in insurance coverage litigation. The position involves representation of international and domestic insurers with regards to all manner of liability policies, including fidelity, directors and officers, employment, professional, property, excess and commercial general liability policies. The opportunity is suited to someone who thrives within a busy, stimulating and fast-paced team environment, and has a strong interest in working on complex insurance coverage litigation matters.
The attorney will ideally be located in Seattle, WA.
Responsibilities
What you’ll do:
•
Analyze rights and obligations under insurance policies, draft coverage opinions, and provide coverage advice to clients.
•
Conduct legal research, analyze findings, and draft memoranda.
•
Prepare and analyze pleadings, discovery, motions, supporting briefs, and legal correspondence regarding insurance coverage litigation.
•
Meet and confer with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties.
•
Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations.
•
Take a proactive role in managing matters, deadlines, and communication with clients.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone who:
•
Possesses excellent academic credentials.
•
Is admitted to practice in Washington, California, or Hawaii. Additional bar admissions are a plus.
•
Has experience in insurance coverage and coverage litigation.
•
Has excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
•
Has strong organizational and time-management skills.
•
Has the ability to simultaneously handle sensitive and time-sensitive matters.
•
Has effective problem-solving skills.
•
Has the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.

The salary range for this position is $195,000 - $220,000. The range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
