Report to shift on time. Aware of schedule at all times and if unable to attend work, notify the Supervisor or Duty Manager in adequate time and according to policy.
Responsible for collecting and signing for I Pod, dect phone, master key and vacuum cleaner at the start of duty. Report any loss of key immediately as well as if the vacuum cleaner, dect phone or I Pod gets damaged.
Clean and make up all rooms to the standard required by Four Seasons and by following the Sequence of Service, by performing activities such as:
•
Arrange curtains and lights.
•
Empty rubbish bins and wash them.
•
Remove flowers that are not in a good condition and inform the Office Coordinator.
•
Strip and make up the bed with clean perfect linen according to FS Policy.
•
Clean insides of drawers and wardrobes and replace supplies.
•
Dust all furniture and surfaces carefully.
•
Replace all used Minibar glasses with clean and polished glasses from the Pantry. Check that the glasses have no stains or finger prints and polish if needed.
•
Replenish all consumed Minibar items including coffee, tea and sugar sachets with new items from the Pantry. Post consumed items through the I Pod.
•
Clean mirrors and pictures.
•
Replenish all missing guest supplies.
•
Vacuum and also arrange furniture.
•
All special suite linen to be brought separately to the linen room by the Porter or Room attendant.
•
Remove dirty linen. Replace with clean linen according to FS Policy.
•
Empty and clean rubbish bin.
•
Clean toilet. Spray, scrub, let sit, rinse and dry.
•
Clean bath, surround and shower curtain. Spray, scrub, let sit, rinse and dry
•
Clean washbasin. Spray, scrub, let sit, rinse and dry
•
Replace tooth glasses with clean and polished glasses from the pantry.
•
Replenish all empty and missing guest supplies and toiletries. In stayovers with less than half full toiletries place a second full bottle behind the other bottle.
•
Wash paintwork (door and frame).
Responsible for reporting any malfunctioning equipment.
Before ringing a guestroom door bell and entering a guest room be aware of the guest’s name and use it in a natural way.
If the guest is in the room offer to return at a later time and record the time that the guest requested.
Update the room status through the I Pod when entering a guest room as well as when the cleaning is finished.
Immediately report and hand into Housekeeping Office any property or guest keys found in ‘check out’ rooms.
Responsible for keeping guest doors closed whilst servicing the guestroom and using ‘Housekeeper in room’ card.
Carry out any other cleaning duties as specified by your Supervisor.
Keep Service and Linen cupboards tidy and correctly stocked, and closed at all times when not in use. Must ensure working equipment is always clean, tidy and in good working order. At 2.00 p.m. place a “We recognised you do not want to be disturbed card” for all rooms with a DND sign underneath the door.
Responsible for reporting to Supervisor the rooms which do not require service or which have DND signs in his / her assigned area.
Restock minibars to agreed standard and report consumption accurately.
Identify opportunities to add a special touch in the room or to find our guest preferences. Report all guest preferences to the Office Coordinator so that they can be recorded for future visits of the guest.
Report to Supervisor any duvets, pillows, valances etc. that need changing.
Complete spring-cleaning of rooms as allocated by Supervisor.
Communicate resort services to guests when requested by them.
Report to your Supervisor anything or anyone suspicious.
Have proper regard for both guest and resort property. Gifts from guests must be accompanied by a signed authorisation from the guest and security pass out before it can be removed from the resort.
Report to the Supervisor anything which may be a Health and Safety hazard.
Complete accurately the control lists at times as advised by your Supervisor.
Report any missing items from rooms e.g. bathrobes, soap dishes etc.
Be aware and make full use of recycling facilities within the service areas.
Place linen and towelling for rewash as well as torn or ripped items in the designated bags in the pantry.
Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by resort management.
To attend any department training sessions and/or meetings required.
Ensure all of the resort’s Lead with Care Guidelines (Health and Safety) are followed
