About the job
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Architecture & Technical Consulting:
•
Define SAP Basis / platform architecture, standards, and roadmaps (S/4HANA, HANA, SAP BTP, cloud) and act as technical design authority for platform decisions.
•
Advise projects and stakeholders; challenge the as-is and drive standardization, automation, and cost efficiency.
Managed Service Partner Management (major):
•
Steer managed service partners (SAP ECS, 3rd party MSP) that run day-to-day Basis operations; define, monitor, and enforce SLAs.
•
Own governance, escalations, and accountability for delivery quality, and coordinate handovers, changes, and major incidents.
Technology Evaluation & Innovation (major):
•
Continuously scan, evaluate, and pilot new SAP, BTP, and cloud technologies, including AI-assisted operations and automation.
•
Run PoCs and make adoption recommendations aligned with architecture and cost.
Operational Oversight (minor):
•
Provide 2nd/3rd-level guidance; routine hands-on Basis execution is delegated to managed service partners.
