We’re Pact, and we’re here to change the world of coffee.
We seek out the earth’s best beans from the world’s best growers, lovingly roast them, and serve them to you at their freshest.
You’ll find our speciality coffees in kitchens across the UK through our subscription and store, on the shelves at Waitrose and Ocado, on Amazon, and in offices, cafes and restaurants around the country.
Everyone on our team helps shape what we do - from sourcing to marketing to the moment a bag lands on someone’s doorstep. Last year, we roasted over half a million kilograms of coffee, and grew our team to 70 across our head office near London Bridge and our roastery in Surrey.
Fancy making a Pact with us?
The role
Love great coffee, great design, and seeing your ideas come to life?
We’re hiring a full-time Mid-weight Graphic Designer to join our Brand and Comms team.
We’ve come a long way in the last couple of years, with a refreshed brand identity and a better experience for our customers, online and off. Now, we need someone to help us make the most of it across all channels.
You’ll work closely with our Lead Designer to turn briefs from across the business into designs that look and feel unmistakably Pact - from emails and social posts to packaging and event graphics.
You’ll bring fresh ideas to every brief, take feedback in your stride, and use it to make the next piece of work even better.
What you’ll be doing
•
Taking on creative briefs from across the business and bringing them to life across our channels, mainly our website, digital ads, packaging, email, and social media.
•
Working closely with our Lead Designer to turn brand, marketing, and creative strategy into high-quality designs.
•
Creating print-ready artwork for packaging, brand, and marketing assets, from large-format graphics and point of sale to coffee labels and cards.
•
Bringing fresh thinking, strong ideas, and real craft to everything you design.
•
Helping shape photography briefs and supporting on our photo and video shoots
•
Retouching and finishing photography in post-production, so every image is ready to use across our channels
•
Keeping our design files and master assets organised and easy for everyone to find
•
Being a great brand ambassador for Pact, inside and outside the business.
Requirements
You could be who we’re looking for if…
•
You have 3-5 years’ experience as a designer, in an agency or in-house
•
You’ve worked on FMCG branding, packaging, and identity
•
You know Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop inside out
•
You understand print and production, and you know how to get artwork right
•
You know your way around one or more motion design software to create engaging gifs and videos
•
You’re open to using AI tools to speed up the more repetitive parts of the design process, so you’ve got more time for the creative work. (We don’t use AI to create our designs - the ideas and craft are always yours!)
•
You’re motivated, full of ideas, and love bringing fresh thinking to the team
•
You don’t just deliver a brief - you look for ways to make the final result even better, and you talk your ideas through with the team before running with them
•
You welcome feedback, act on it, and carry what you’ve learned into your next project
•
You’re a natural problem-solver with a balance of creativity and commercial awareness
•
You stay calm and focused when things get busy
•
You love working as part of a close-knit team, and you’re always happy to pitch in
•
Coffee-making and photography skills would be a bonus, but we’re always happy for people to learn on the job
This is your chance to help shape how a growing brand presents itself to the world. Your work will land on doorsteps, and you’ll see it at events, on social channels, and in kitchens across the UK. You’ll have a refreshed identity to deliver, and clear brand guidelines to do it with. You’ll also have the support of a close-knit team and plenty of room to grow.
If this sounds like your kind of challenge, please send us your CV along with why you’re perfect for the role. Please include a link to a portfolio of your work, and at least one example of a project you’ve worked on that’s relevant to Pact.
