Your main responsibilities:
• Perform biological validation of medical reports and results, provide clinical interpretation with relevant medical commentary, and manage clinical emergencies within guaranteed turnaround times
• Ensure biological supervision of pre- and post-analytical operations at local patient-facing facilities, guaranteeing the clinical relevance of prescribed tests and the proper routing of samples to the central lab platform
• Supervise, lead, and mentor teams of laboratory technicians and local staff, including medical secretaries (workflow management, scheduling, qualifications)
• Drive analytical platform performance: qualify new automated instruments, optimize the Laboratory Information System (LIS), and improve analytical workflows (automation, turnaround times, reliability)
• Ensure strict compliance with ISO 15189 standards, quality control management, non-conformity resolution, and site accreditation
• Serve as the primary medical point of contact for prescribing physicians (general practitioners, clinicians, specialists, healthcare facilities), providing expertise and consultative advice
• Participate in the lab’s medical life: staff meetings, cross-functional projects, patient care, healthcare partner relations, and continuity of care (on-call/duty shifts)
