About the role
As a Finance Business Partner, you will be part of a Finance team that plays a critical role in enabling this mission — serving as a trusted adviser to division leads and senior leaders, combining financial rigour with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that drive sound decision-making across the organisation.
[What you will be working on]
•
Lead the end-to-end financial planning and performance management cycle for one or more major divisions or programmes, encompassing budgeting, forecasting, and reporting in alignment with the planning cycle
•
Partner with division leads and senior leaders to evaluate business cases, assess financial sustainability, and provide resource allocation guidance; conduct scenario analysis and translate complex financial data into clear narratives and actionable recommendations to support decision-making at both operational and strategic levels
•
Work with programme teams to monitor project expenditure, track milestones, and proactively flag financial risks; and provide guidance to users on financial matters
•
Identify and drive improvements in financial processes, systems, and controls within assigned divisions, including leading cost optimisation and efficiency initiatives
•
Execute month/year-end closing activities, perform budget allocations and virements, and analyse variances and operational metrics to surface actionable insights
•
Prepare revenue/expense accruals and grant recovery as well as to ensure compliance with accounting standards and government financial regulations
•
Undertake any other duties and projects as assigned to support the Finance team and broader organisational objectives
[What we are looking for]
•
Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field, with a professional accounting qualification (e.g. CPA, ACCA, or equivalent), and at least 5 years of relevant finance experience with a demonstrated track record in finance business partnering
•
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present financial data clearly and concisely; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with knowledge of dashboarding tools
•
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence non-finance stakeholders effectively
•
Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, complex organisation
The role will start off on a 2 year contract.
