Job Description:
•
Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures.
•
Scrubs, gowns, and gloves for surgical procedures.
•
Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedures, displaying knowledge of procedure and patient positioning.
•
Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to the operation and before the incision is closed.
•
Gowns and gloves surgeon and assistants.
•
Assists other team members with terminal cleaning of the room and prepping for the next patient.
•
Handles surgical specimens with 100% accuracy.
•
Recognizes and responds immediately to emergency situations appropriately.
•
Helps in draping sterile field.
•
Passes instruments and supplies to surgeon during procedures.
•
Maintains the highest standard of sterile technique during procedures.
•
Prepares sterile dressings and cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization.
•
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
•
