Job Summary
TYLin’s Buildings team brings creativity and technical excellence to new and existing buildings around the world. Our primary services, structural engineering for buildings, include new construction projects, as well as renovation, adaptive reuse, and historic preservation. Within that broad range, we offer further expertise in specific services including architectural services, code consulting, façade engineering, lightweight structures, and construction support services.
We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Buildings team in Los Angeles, CA.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Structural design and analysis for a wide range of buildings projects, involving steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and archaic building systems.
•
Assisting in the preparation of drawings and specifications.
•
Conducting site investigations to document existing conditions.
•
Project Management of staff and clients.
•
Providing mentoring and guidance to junior staff.
•
Maintaining involvement in professional organizations to keep abreast of new industry developments.
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
•
Master’s Degree would be considered an asset.
•
P.E. or S.E. license would be considered an asset.
•
6-10 years of experience in the execution of residential, commercial, or institutional buildings projects as a Structural Engineer is required; experience with private residential projects preferred.

Additional Information
TYLin is committed to pay equity.As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $104,000 - $116,000 annually for this position and local market. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of skills, experience, education and competencies to the table that will be reflected in our offer.
