Education and/or Experience: A bachelor’s degree in electrical construction management or a related technical field is preferred; however, candidates with an associate degree and substantial experience in electrical planning or construction will also be considered. The ideal candidate will have a Journeyman’s license with 3-5 years of experience in electrical planning, design, or construction coordination, with hands-on involvement in electrical systems such as power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage installations. A strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant industry standards is essential. Candidates should have experience in project planning, including material takeoffs and resource scheduling, and demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, field teams, and other stakeholders to ensure the accurate planning and execution of electrical work. This position requires strong computer skills, good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize work, and deal with stress. Must possess the ability to work cooperatively with others. Must have a basic understanding of internal controls. Must be able to maintain a high standard of professionalism and confidentiality of critical issues. Must be able to handle the work schedule and attendance policies required at Interstates. Strong understanding of construction processes, project management principles, and building codes. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
