Job Description Fortinet seeks a consulting security engineer to support the Latin American region’s sales, marketing, and development efforts. A CSE is a Senior Engineer, part of an elite team, who is an architect and advisor to the field of engineering and accounts teams regarding the products. The CSE engages in large-impact deals across various industries by providing expert advice on the design, architecture, and implementation of solutions that best meet specific customer needs. The CSE works alongside peer field engineers, account teams, and channel partners that may be involved throughout the sales process. The CSE is expected to shape the positive outcome of customer engagements such as meetings, demonstrations, and proof of concept (POC) activities. This role offers high visibility to senior management, networking across corporate teams, and the opportunity to shape the business and the direction of our future products.
Responsibilities
•
Support International sales activities as a strategic and high-level corporate technical resource for vital pre-sales engagements and key opportunities.
•
Act as subject-matter expert in pre-sales design reviews and serve as authoritative consultant to Field Systems Engineers by providing technical guidance and leadership.
•
Participate with SE peers to lead the design and architecture of secure IP networks utilizing and leveraging all aspects of Fortinet’s product line to create superior solutions in competitive environments.
•
Provide training to System Engineers at various events worldwide and mentor SE specialists within Virtual Teams.
•
Serve as Virtual Team Leaders and act as voice representing the International Sales Organization from a technical perspective at various meetings and committees.
•
Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to help identify, qualify, and develop features critical to Fortinet’s success.
•
Write white papers, tech notes, and other high-level technical documentation as required.
•
Interface with Fortinet’s Business and Technology partners within designated technology discipline and distribute that knowledge to the field Systems Engineers.
•
Travel worldwide on short notice.
•
Provide status reports in timely manner and ensure communication to the SE Director / VP SE.
Qualifications
•
Field sales experience
•
Extensive and proven experience in designing, building and supporting advanced security solutions in a customer-facing role.
•
Exceptional network and software security skills include hands-on experience with products from top security vendors. Good understanding of networking technologies.
•
Deep understanding of information security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, VPN, etc.) and associated protocols and standards.
•
Ability to understand the specific customer environments and their security needs, and to articulate the best technical solution for a given scenario.
•
Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation and presentation skills. Capable of delivering product and technology presentations to technical and business audiences.
•
Ability to mentor other sales engineers and take a leadership role.
•
The optimal candidate will have a CISSP and/or CISM certification along with vendor specific certifications.
•
Regional and international travel required.
•
Team worker, focused on reaching objectives.
•
Bilingual in Spanish and English
