About the role
This hourly role follows the Scotts/Hawthorne step pay progression scale and typically starts at $22.25 per hour and is paid weekly. Scotts/Hawthorne will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.
We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our Scotts Miracle Gro team in Palmdale, FL!
2nd Shift 6 pm - 6:30 am
The Night Shift Machine Operator will be working at a Scott’s production facility operating various machines associated with the production of mulch and soil products.
What you’ll do in this role:
•
Set up and operate machinery associated with product packaging
•
Ensure preventative maintenance is performed on a regular basis
•
Maintain activity logs/downtime paperwork
•
Operate forklifts to transport materials
•
Work within the guidelines of all safety procedures
•
Actively maintain good housekeeping standards assigned to your area
•
Solve daily operations problems with limited supervision
•
Ensure product quality by conducting a periodic quality checklist
•
All other duties assigned
What you’ll need to be successful:
•
High School diploma or equivalent.
•
