Job Description
Manage, secure, and optimize the organization’s on-premises and cloud server infrastructure, including Nutanix AHV, Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, Veeam backup, infrastructure monitoring, and Microsoft Azure. The role focuses on reliable day-to-day operations, backup and disaster recovery readiness, security hardening, and automation of routine tasks using PowerShell or Python in an ITIL-driven environment.
Responsibilities
•
Administer Nutanix AHV clusters, including VM provisioning, patching, capacity planning, and cluster health.
•
Manage Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Active Directory, including server builds, patching, GPOs, DNS/DHCP, and replication health.
•
Install, configure, and troubleshoot Linux servers running RHEL, CentOS, or Ubuntu.
•
Own Veeam backup and restore operations, including job configuration, restore testing, retention, and DR readiness.
•
Manage Azure infrastructure, including VMs, storage, networking, backup, and cost governance, and support a small Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) footprint.
•
Maintain infrastructure monitoring in PRTG, including sensors, thresholds, alerting, and dashboards.
•
Automate provisioning, patching, and reporting using PowerShell or Python.
•
Manage incidents, requests, changes, and problems in line with ITIL practices and agreed SLAs, and maintain runbooks and documentation.
•
Participate in maintenance windows, upgrades, and the on-call rotation.
•
Support security hardening and vulnerability remediation across server and cloud infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
•
3–6 years of hands-on experience in server and cloud infrastructure administration.
•
Production experience with Nutanix AHV.
•
Strong Windows Server and Active Directory administration skills.
•
Working knowledge of Linux server administration.
•
Hands-on experience with Veeam Backup & Replication, including restores and DR drills.
•
Monitoring experience with PRTG or an equivalent tool.
•
Demonstrated experience managing Azure infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and backup.
•
Scripting skills in PowerShell or Python.
•
