Job Profile Summary
The Biomedical Equipment Technician II (BMET II) is an intermediate-level technical position responsible for independently performing preventive maintenance, safety inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, calibrations, equipment support, clinical user support, and accurate service documentation for a broad range of assigned medical equipment with limited supervision and appropriate escalation to senior technicians, vendors, or Biomed leadership when needed. In addition to foundational technician responsibilities, this role supports the Healthcare Technology Management / Biomedical Engineering program through timely CMMS/AIMS documentation, work order follow-up, equipment record accuracy, preventive maintenance documentation, regulatory readiness, safe equipment practices, and professional communication with clinical departments, Facilities, Finance, vendors, and supported sites. The role requires attention to detail, sound judgment, prioritization, problem-solving, and a customer-focused approach because not all operational scenarios can be addressed through pre-prescribed protocols.
