About the role
We are looking for a Pitching Coordinator based out of Ibiúna, Brazil. This role requires a strong background in baseball, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders in a start-up environment.
Responsibilities
•
Train pitchers at the MLB/Brazil Baseball Federation academy, working with various parties to implement effective short- and long-term strategies for participating athletes
•
Foster strong communication and relationships between MLB, the Brazil Baseball Federation, Driveline, and local coaching staff to ensure coordination and buy-in across groups
•
Incorporate and monitor player development technology to track and communicate player progress
•
Work with MLB and the Brazil Baseball Federation on special projects designed to grow baseball across Brazil as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
•
Experience coaching pitchers and working with baseball technology required; experience playing is a plus
•
Willingness to work on-site in Brazil for most of the year required for at least two years
•
Proficiency in either English or Spanish required; proficiency in Portuguese is a plus
