What you will be responsible for in this role:
· Inspect Dies: Check for wear, cracks, or damage after production runs.
· Design die from engineering drawings, sketches or verbal direction
· Set up and operate conventional or CNC equipment to cut, bore, grind, or otherwise shape parts to prescribed dimensions and finishes
· Operation of all tool room equipment to make and repair dies.
· Assist with prototypes from engineering department.
· Select metals to be used from a range of metals and alloys, based on properties such as hardness and heat treatment properties
· Study blueprints, sketches, models, or specifications to plan sequences of operations for fabricating tools, dies, or assemblies
· Assist the maintenance department when needed
· Weld, measure, heat treat, etc.
What are the basic qualifications?
· Knowledge of precision measuring tools, layout tools, hand & bench tools, metallurgy and heat treatment, advanced mathematics I.E. Geometry and Trigonometry
· Experience with engine lathes, mill machines, jig bore, surface grinders, and press operation.

Physical Requirements:

Regularly required to walk, sit and stand for prolonged periods of time.

Ability to reach with arms and hands; bend, kneel, crouch and/or crawl as well as the ability to see and hear.
•
Able to work night shifts and on weekends when required.
•
Ability to sit for long periods of time.
•
Ability to move about in office, warehouse and manufacturing facilities.

Pay Range: USD 30 - 35 Hourly This position is eligible to earn commissions based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable commissions plan.
