About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Great Eastern Life. The Data Software Engineer will play a crucial role in developing in the data landscape to meet business needs and alignment between IT solutions and the strategic goals of the company. The successful candidate will have deep understanding of the data concepts, ETL and proven track record of delivering successful data solutions and data migration.
Responsibilities
•
To design, develop and implement ETL job using Talend
•
To design, develop and implement UNIX Shell and Database SQL script to support ETL Design & Development
•
To design and administer ETL Job implementation through Autosys
•
To perform and support unit testing, UAT and Production Implementation
•
To perform fix, tuning and enhancement on existing ETL Job to support system and business requirement
•
To provide daily, weekly and monthly production support as required
•
To perform administration tasks of ETL Talend server
•
To perform complex Data Transformation using ETL and SQL
•
Support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
•
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.
