About the role
We are seeking dependable and hardworking Skilled Construction Laborers to join our team in Bessemer, Alabama. The ideal candidate has experience working on commercial and/or industrial construction projects and is comfortable performing a variety of physical tasks while assisting skilled trades and superintendents. This position offers steady work with opportunities to grow within the company.
Responsibilities
•
Perform general construction labor on commercial and industrial job sites.
•
Assist carpenters, electricians, plumbers, concrete crews, and other skilled trades as needed.
•
Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment.
•
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
•
Clean and prepare job sites, removing debris and maintaining a safe work environment.
•
Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and perform grading or site preparation.
•
Assemble and dismantle temporary structures, barricades, and scaffolding when required.
•
Measure, cut, and install basic building materials under supervision.
•
Follow project plans, supervisor instructions, and OSHA safety standards.
•
Complete other duties as assigned to support project completion. Construction laborers commonly perform site preparation, operate hand and power tools, assist skilled trades, and maintain safe work areas.

2+ years of construction labor experience preferred.
