Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounts and Bookkeeping Supervisor to join a
growing team in a fully remote capacity. This role is suited to a senior accounting and bookkeeping professional with approximately 5+ years of relevant experience who is confident in managing day-to-day accounting activities while also reviewing work and providing guidance to more junior members of the administration team. The successful candidate will have strong hands-on accounting and bookkeeping capabilities, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining accurate and timely financial records. Experience working with Australian businesses and familiarity with Australian accounting.
Responsibilities:
•
Manage day-today accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoice processing, payments, collections, and account maintenance.
•
Oversee bank reconciliations and assist with general ledger reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies as required.
•
Assist with preparation and posting of month-end journals and other month- end closing activities.
•
Process and review payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable requirements.
•
Review bookkeeping and accounting work completed by junior team members to ensure accuracy and completeness
•
Provide feedback, coaching, and day-to-day guidance to junior members of the administration team.
•
Assist with ensuring all daily admin tasks are completed in a timely fashion.
•
Such as answering phone calls, customer email enquiries and inbox management, and product database management,
•
Support the preparation and review of other regular reporting requirements, such as Payroll Tax and BAS.
•
Work closely with management and other stakeholders to resolve accounting queries and provide relevant financial information.
•
Ensure deadlines and reporting requirements are consistently met.
•
Perform other accounting, bookkeeping, and administrative finance duties as required.
